Meet the photographer
I am an heirloom portrait and lifestyle photographer who values the art of living a balanced life with my husband and four young children in my native Kentucky home. When not taking portraits, my days are filled with soccer practice, family meals, Bible study fellowship, watching the kids garden with their grandparents, and enjoying raising a young family.
Outgoing, I truly enjoy having conversations and getting to know the families I work with. I love holding babies, making kids belly laugh, and learning family dynamics to bring those special moments out in photos.
I searched and searched for photographers who created that natural, yet traditional, style of portraits. I found that while some photographers who captured heirloom portraits traveled here, none lived in the Lexington area. Thus, after photographing families for over 15 years, my new passion was born. And, because I live in this area, I realized that clients can come to me for portraits of multiple children or to document children as they grow.
After a few short months of focusing on heirloom portraits, I realized how few clients knew how to appropriately frame and archive their professional photos for proper preservation. As an artist, to me, the finished product is the framed portrait hanging on your wall—not the digital photo on your phone.
Let’s be honest: as a parent myself, I know how many projects go unfinished. A big part of my “why” is that when you commit to a session with me, you finish with tangible, classic portraits ready to be hung on your wall that contribute to the overall design, comfort, and nostalgia of your home.
